These high waist knickers are my honest favourite. They’re perfect for wearing with those pants with the itchy tag, or under high waist anything. I love making them with sheer panels and wearing them with low waist jeans and a short top. Too bold? Never.
Also, they make the best jammies.
GARMENT SPECIFICS The Median Knickers are high waist, full coverage undies. View one has super simple, classic seamlines, and view two has geometric design lines that are perfect for color blocking, sheer panels, or trim insertion. The crotch is cut wide to always stay in place, is fully lined, and uses a great trick to enclose all the seams.
This garment can be entirely constructed with a sewing machine, serger optional. Techniques required include zig zag stitches + working with elastic.
SUGGESTED FABRICS Knit fabrics with 50-75% stretch, preferably with a spandex content. Bamboo, Rayon, or blends with Cotton, Lycra, Silk, Spandex, Nylon, Tencel. 100% cotton tends to stretch out quickly. Measure stretch by marking out 4” of fabric, then gently stretch to max.
