Calling all beginners! In this class we will sew the “One Yard Apron” pattern from Wyoming farm. You will learn how to cut out a pattern, easily sew on a pocket, and professionally finish your apron with D-rings. This pattern makes a great gift for the holidays, or keep it for yourself.
Ages 18+
Skill level: Beginner. Must know how to operate a sewing machine. If you need help with this prior to class, you can book a 1 hour private lesson with Nat to go over the basics!
Class prep:
– Purchase pattern from Sew to Speak – 1 yard apron pattern by Wyoming farm
– Prewash fabric, (Wash, dry and iron)
Teacher will send an email 1 week before class to give tips on selecting your size and choosing fabrics.
Supplies needed (Supplies are not included in the class cost, but students will receive a 15% discount on class supplies purchased at Sew to Speak):
– 1 yard fabric of your choice (lightweight canvas or other stable mid-weight fabric)
– Pattern: 1 Yard Apron Pattern by Wyoming Farm
In addition to the above, students will need to bring the following supplies:
– Sewing machine (Machines are available to borrow. Please call the store ahead of time to reserve if needed).
– (2) 1 ¼” D rings
– Chalk or marking tool
– Sewing machine needles
– Pins or wonder clips
– Thread and bobbin
