This pattern is designed to feature the textiles created using Sashiko stitching, but it can also be adapted for any beautiful fabrics you like. Pattern includes instruction for 2 versions: handbag and backpack. Want a cross body style instead? Pattern also includes QR code/web address for modified instructions for a cross body version. It is fully lined with an open pocket and zippered pocket inside. One top handle and optional backpack straps.
The print pattern is full of color diagrams and step-by-step instructions. Also included is a QR Code/web address to a video tutorial on how to assemble Liner Side 2. All of the fabric pieces are “measure and cut” except for a template provided for the flap.

MATERIALS NEEDED:
>Main Body and Inner Pocket = 1/3 yard
>Bottom and Liner = 1/3 yard or 1/2 yard for directional fabric
>Flap= 1/4 yard OR (1) finished textile from a 5″x7″ Patchwork Sashiko Kit
>Pellon P44F = 1 yard
>Bosal in-R-foam one sided fusible = 1/3 yard (58″ width)
>10″ of 1″ wide cotton webbing
>(1) 9″ or longer nylon zipper
>(1 pair) 1/2″ wide metal d-ring and matching lobster clasp
>3″ of 1/2″ wide twill tape
If making the backpack version, add:
>2 1/3 yard of 1″ wide cotton webbing
>(2) 1″ wide metal rectangle rings
>(2) 1″ wide metal buckle slides
